(Hons); Glen has been transacting in Eastern markets for more than 20
years, dating from his first professional excursion to mainland China
in 1987. With Ryan, he initially founded a flourishing chain
of retail stores and subsequently established GRS. Glen travels
continually to a multitude of Asian manufacturing
territories, thereby continuously adding to his wealth of experience
and ensuring that the procurement team are able to consistently
identify and work with the best and most cost-effective suppliers in
the region.
Ryan
Broomberg
Director
Qualifications
and experience: CA(SA);
Ryan's track record in financial management is both extensive and
formidable. During the course of his executive career he has acted as a
director for both a financial services company and a large equipment
hire business. He was also managing director of the retail chain which
he founded with Glen, a business focused on Asian sourcing and
numbering some 50 outlets at the time of sale. Ryan oversees all
financial and legal matters for GRS, rigorously maintaining an
unswerving platform of good governance and structural reliability.
Patrick
Leclezio

Director
Qualifications
and experience: BCom, MBA;
Patrick's professional background is in marketing management, having
worked for leading international companies within the liquor and
tobacco industries. In that time he has managed category leading brands
and full portfolios. His knowledge of brand management and of new
product and packaging development ensures that our interface with
clients is empathetic and insightful, and that our management of
creative developments is of specialist standards.
Lloyd
Neilson
Director
Qualifications
and experience: MBA; From
his initial career roots as a technical specialist, Lloyd branched out
into business, forming an electrical contracting company, then,
subsequently, a chemicals trading company, both of which he
successfully managed for many years before joining GRS. Lloyd has
overseen the design and development of our
procurement management systems and oversees all IT and systems' related
matters at GRS. His efforts in these areas allow us to deliver a level
of service (and information) which we believe is the benchmark for our
industry.
Faizal Kassim
Operations Director
Qualifications
and experience: DipPurMan;
Faizal has accumulated extensive experience managing
logistics for projects involving Eastern supply. His operational
knowledge of trade finance, quality control, transportation, and the
many other areas of expertise involved in successfully delivering such
orders, is highly cultivated and comprehensive. He bears responsibility
for a team of managers who, under his supervision, administers all of
the company's active projects, allowing us to deliver the assiduous
service, which we commit to our clients.
Zhang
Peng
Procurement Director – China Operations
Qualifications
and experience: Bachelor
of Economics (PRC); Zhang has been sourcing iin mainland China for over
14 years. His career started with the prestigious trade company
Guangdong Light Industrial Product Import & Export Co and he
has subsequently run his own trading companies as well as a successful
paper manufacturing company. Zhang has a wide scope of product
technical knowledge and has helped build up an extensive supplier
database. He is very aware of the standards required by global
companies manages his team to very high and exacting targets.
Fred
Chee
Director – China Operations
Qualifications
and experience: Bachelor
of Economics (PRC);Fred is the general manager of the China office and
oversees HR, Finance & IT. Previously Fred acted for 8
years as logistics manager for the San
Miguel Corporation (the largest food and beverage maker in South East
Asia).He is very detail driven and keeps a very tight reign on the
systems within the China office.
Rakesh
Dayal
Director - India Operations
Qualifications
and experience:BA from
Delhi University, Fashion and Merchandising Diploma from London School
of Fashion;After working with French Connection and Dolly
Dolly in London for 3 years, Rakesh returned to New Delhi
from where he has been trading ever since. He has extensive experience
in Indian products and the supply chain through to retail operations in
the USA, UK, Eurpope and South Africa. Rakesh has worked closely with
the founders of GRS since 1994.
Rajat
Dayal
Director – Project Management India
Qualifications
and experience: MSC
International Business Leicester Business School; Rajat has extensive
qualifications and experience in project management gained with Concept
Merchandising of New Delhi. Rajat is instrumental in coordinating and
overseeing the GRS supply chain in India, with special emphasis on
development and long term projects.
